Sleep? What is that? I pretty much collapsed from exhaustion last night. Been up late getting assignments done. I reached a point where I couldn’t think straight and was completely unproductive… So I figured it was pointless to force myself to keep working and make mistakes. But… my director rpg is ALPHA done I guess. There is so much more I’d like to do, so it is hardly done, better to call it ‘playably incomplete’. I’ll make it available at unsungmedia.com shortly. Today will be my flash project and portfolio site (which will become my unsungmedia site) I’m pretty happy with what I have planned for it. Just need to execute with executing myself. Phew. Looking forward to getting this week over with…
B. and I went to downtown Toronto yesterday and walked along Queen Street for a few hours. There are many cool stores. She went into a yarn store (big surprise) and it was a dreadful place: stuffy, claustrophobic, dusty and tight aisle ways…I had to get out of there. We went in a Japanese Paper store as well, that was interesting. It wasn’t the best trip downtown, I got hungry and irritable waiting around that evil yarn shop…(Update: Now commonly referred to as ‘hangry’) I have zero money so shopping somewhere else for me is pointless. We’ll return some other time though… so many interesting stores. (Some not so interesting)
Today we are going to my parent’s for Easter dinner. I’ll keep coding after I get home. I can almost see the light at the end of the tunnel for my Director RPG game project. Phew. What an undertaking.
At school, coding. Repeat. More snow? Egads.
Close to geek overload here. Phew. Time for a meme break.

1. Are emotions controllable and why?
Isn’t the point of emotions to *not* control them. You might be able to control the physical response to an emotion, but the emotion is still there. Stifled or not…
2. What do you want named after you when you are dead?
Something useful… A park, a bridge, a road, a nation.
3. What is the most important standard you live by (political, social,
Without question I try to live by my own personal standard. My personal standard is influenced by *basic* Christian beliefs (do unto others…, don’t be an asshat) and a strong sense of fairness. Most issues I however think on an individual rights basis. I think an individual should always be able to decide their actions. Not government, religion or culture.
Update: Link is dead.
B. and I finally got outside this weekend and had a nice walk along the Caledon Railtrail. It is very flat. We might do more of the trail this weekend. It was nice to get some fresh air. It feels like forever since we walked outside. All the winter blah and busy activity is slowly fading away. I’ve only got a few more weeks of school. (A few more crazy – all my assignments are due – weeks of school) So likely won’t be many updates. What am I doing? Coding. Coding. Coding. I’m think I’m in a better situation than last term but I still have a lot of work to do.
The new Sony portable gaming unit the PSP looks pretty cool. I thought it was ironic that the Sony website is running ASP… Isn’t that Micro$oft? Doesn’t Micro$oft make X-Boxes? And no I won’t link to it.
Update: Missing railtrail.jpg
Spent yesterday at B.’s sister’s place to celebrate her brother’s birthday. We had super yum BBQ. The boys spent most of the day getting some serious game on. B.’s brother brought Grand Turismo 4 over and we raced most the day. It is an impressive game visually. I’m not a big car guy so it got a little tiresome after awhile but it was still a great game. Certainly more fodder from getting a PS3 next instead of Xbox 2.
Wow… I was stunned to read the crap that came to the house from my MP today regarding Bill C-38. Some of the lowlights:
‘tampering with the definition of marriage will spell disaster for the moral and social welfare of our country….our greatest Canadian treasure is about to be dumped info the garbage can…the suicidal rush to… change a 6000 year old institution is the canker that will destroy the roots of Canada’s ‘living tree’…’ Wow…
So naturally I sent her an e-mail:
Ms. Ruby Dhalla,
I have lived in Brampton for about a year and have witnessed very little inharmonious activity. I was shocked and disappointed to have your zealous intolerant hate mail delivered to my home. Your tone was sickening and reeked of fear mongering. I’ll be glad the day the bill C-38 passes to make Canada a more tolerate, accepting place. I see no ‘cankers’, no ‘imminent danger’ and no ‘suicidal rush’… just fear and prejudice.
This IS a rights issues and the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms should be applied fairly and equally to ALL Canadians regardless of their sexual preference. Canada allows no distinction for religion or race. Canada should NOT start making such distinctions bases on sexual preference. Rest assuredly you have lost one vote.
I can’t believe that an official Canadian party would allow her to spew off such deliberate hate filled nonsense as an official platform. That is very disturbing…
Apparently I’m a heartless bastard. According to the Empathy test I did (ripped from Transplanted Seed) I’m below average… even for men. Huh. I pretty surprised actually. I’ve always thought I was pretty empathetic towards others…especially considering how high my blue color is in another personality test. Hmmpt. 32…
Updated: Missing eq.jpg The test link is now 404. Transplanted Seed is now password protected. And lastly the Blue link is also gonzo. So this entry is a big fail now. (Dec. 2013)
Phew. Been a long week already… I’ve been spending 10-12 hours at school getting assignments done. Two more weeks of this. I did manage to go down to Niagara last weekend to play some gamez with the boyz. Ha. Sure! Blockbuster has no late fees… Why? The late fee seems to be added to the cost of the rental. $16 to rent two freaking games! X-Men was pretty cool, Brothers in Arms sucked (returned it actually) and the third was a Tom Clancy type shooter but I can’t recall which one. It was ok. There really aren’t many decent multiplayer games for the Xbox. My next console will be PS3 for sure. I was thinking it would be great if one of the console makers would make a separate stereo AV out for EACH controller so each player could have their own TV off one console. No more splitscreen. I wonder if it would be feasible?
Whoa. Just watched Million Dollar Baby… I ironically feel like I took a punch and had the wind knocked out of me. What a moving story. Clint is an impressive story teller. Well done. I certainly can see why it won so many awards.
