Now sitting on my computer at work. Thanks sis.
And the light at the end of the tunnel for my project at work just got a little brighter. We got our Alpha Certification for both DS and PSP today. We are getting close to content complete on DS as well… My co-workers and I soooooo want this project done. Hopefully it ends gracefully and soon.
Taking remicat in for a shot tomorrow morning because our Vet won’t look at her teeth with it. *eyeroll*
Huh. Let’s see here. Since Oct 7th I’ve logged 424 hours at work. And that doesn’t include 1hr+ commute both ways into work. I’ve had three days off and worked 48, 60, 67, 57, 67, 56, and 69 hour work weeks (averaging a staggering 60.5 hours). I wanted to log this information so I know the details of this ordeal so if it starts to occur again I have to decide if it is worth it or not. I feel exhausted and drained in nearly every capacity imaginable. The tank is near empty. Most days I come home and just sleep, especially recently. During this B. has been single, and has had to deal with all the household activities alone. This could easily have resulted in resentment and blame, but she been understanding and thoughtful. Thanks hon. If this has been a test I’m happy with how we have done. I look forward to getting back to my other, more important life.
Ahh, my Sabres have finally started showing up! They have had some very impressive wins recently and are on a four game winning streak! Last night TBO shutout Montreal in Montreal, gawd that must have felt good for him. Hopefully they have found their game and can keep it up!
I had a little free time last night. I played some COD4 360 with my co-workers online. It’s a fun shooter. Then I spent hours watching videos about the Dead Kennedys on youtube. I don’t why I decided to check them out…but I started and it was like music crack. There is a ton of clips of them in the studio. Jello is such an interesting character.
Happy Birthday to me…
The GTA got hit with our first snowfall of the Winter last night, and it continued into this morning. It never ceases to amaze me how ‘tardish‘ people drive the day of the first seasonal snowfall. It took me an extra hour to get into work this morning. Sigh. It can also be amusing. I was stopped at the light at Don Mills and York Mills when I say a guy hop out of a truck (who was also stopped at the light) and shake off his windshield wipers. Pretty common in Canada… what was funny was he went over the car beside him and shook off his wipers too. Hehe. He returned to his truck with a big smile.
I’m enjoying a cup of Red Rose tea. Mmm.
I don’t post a lot of links to youTube videos… but this story is quite remarkable. Dude has some mad skills too. Enjoy.
B. had another great birthday idea for me. She took me shopping at Danier Leather last weekend for a new jacket. It has been a few years since I’ve donned leather. I wore my last leather jacket to death so this was a fitting idea. (no pun intended) I figured I’d get black leather but after trying on a dark brown one (and getting all sorts of positive feedback from B. and the Danier staff) I went with it. It is pretty snazzy.
At work. At night. Again. End project end!

And yet another 14 hour day passes by… I get home, exhausted, again, but my mind is still reeling spinning like a gear in an old watch. I need a diversion, any diversion… so I’ve done a few edits to unsung and done some mindless surfing. I found a co-workers website after googling him. He said he kept a blog, I was curious what he wrote. It is mostly media reflections, nothing personal. I was thinking about him since he was away today at a funeral. His uncle had passed away. I wish him well.
I guess I’m also still awake because I’m worried about the stupid project at work and how we are going to be ready to ship the game in three weeks. Most of the team has been worked to death and may, or have, burnt out. I know feel like ass. Morale is low and regardless if it my job or not, I don’t feel like rallying anyone. I’m too tired, too frustrated and too disinterested to care like I should. I’m hearing the frustration from my co-workers as well as they complain about other co-workers and their ‘inability to get their tasks done’. What do I do? Stand over them? Watch them type? These are professionals? Get your shit done! Bah. I’m so looking forward to aborting this project. It has been my Albatross for weeks now… and now I just want the bird to die.
Wow. This story sickens me. Police brutality? Murder? How can four trained and armed RCMP agents justify tasing an unarmed immigrant. WTF?? Sickening. What thought process was used there? There weren’t other options? What a sad and embarrassing story.

Thank gawd you can : ‘remove your User Content from the Site at any time. If you choose to remove your User Content, the license granted above will automatically expire’
Phew…wha… but…‘however you acknowledge that the Company may retain archived copies of your User Content.’ Doh!
And since I’m complaining about them, they may ‘terminate [my] membership, delete [my] profile and any content or information that [I] have posted on the Site’. Eeek!
But surely you need a good reason to? ‘for any reason, or no reason, at any time in its sole discretion, with or without notice, including without limitation if it believes that you are under 13, or under 18 and not in high school or college. When we are notified that a user has died, we will generally, but are not obligated to, keep the user’s account active under a special memorialized status for a period of time determined by us to allow other users to post and view comments.’ Ouch. I see. Um, thanks?
Well, at least Facebook doesn’t take advantage of the information in my profile right? ‘Facebook may use information in your profile without identifying you as an individual to third parties. We do this for purposes such as aggregating how many people in a network like a band or movie and personalizing advertisements and promotions so that we can provide you Facebook. We believe this benefits you. You can know more about the world around you and, where there are advertisements, they’re more likely to be interesting to you. ‘ Gee, thanks for looking out for me. I need more ads.
I found the fine print pretty surprising. I’ve deleted most of my photos and will likely edit my profile.
Tanga earned her Conformation Championship title this weekend grabbing 4 points at the Georgina Kennel & Obedience show in Sutton, Ontario. We, and her breeder, are happy that she attained this title. In spite of the rewards and glamour heaped upon her after her conformation, she is acting pretty much the same. Heh.
So I *finally* watched the ending of Cowboy Bebop…… what a great series. One of my favourites by far. I’m still wondering what Julia whispers to Spike? I guess we aren’t meant to know? Anyway, see ya space cowboy! Thanks for the ride. …Bang!
I’m also watching Elfen Lied. It started off interesting but it is losing me now at around episode 8. I hope it goes back to making sense. Hmm.
Watched the Sci-fi movie Sunshine last night. It was very good…
Wow… crazy all the stuff you can get to if you aren’t working. 😛 Now to do laundry…
