And it finally ends. So say we all. I watched this series since it began. It started off being very engaging, lagged a bit but compared to most of what is on TV it was always heads and tails above most of what was on. I’m sad to see it end. Random thoughts as I watch the last episode:
-OMG they have a cylon on the main deck controlling the ship… was this all an elaborate con job?
-all the Adamas are going to die
-Baltar stayed behind. Huh!
-Baltar with a gun! lol
-‘Galatica has seen a lot of battles. This will be her last.’ *sniff!*
-Action stations! Start the clock!
-Battle scene was impressive…
-Awesome seeing the ground troops supported by Centrions
-‘in the end it is all about mathematics….’ Doh.
-‘tell the old man I owed him one…’
-‘how do you know God is on your side Doctor?’
-‘you have to take a Leap of Faith’
-‘Everyone, stand down….’
-‘I don’t mean to rush you! But you are keeping two civilizations waiting!’
-Ha! Just when you thought it would end nice nice…the sins of the past come to light.
-Kara Thrase fearless warrior! 🙂
-‘She’ll never jump again…! Where have you taken us Kara?’
-Why Earth of course!
-‘our brains have always out raced our souls, let us start anew…’
-Direct the fleet … into the sun!
-Goodbye Sam. 🙁
-Saul is a funny drunk, sometimes
-‘It was nice to meet you Lee Adama…’
-‘I want to explore!…’ *poof*
-‘Goodbye Kara, you won’t be forgotten…’
-‘It’s almost heavenly, it reminds me of you…’
-Pretty satisfied with the ending.
When this season of Battlestar Gallactica started I was pretty excited to see how it would go. But this season, and now the ending has felt more like a sputter-out than a firecracker. *Spoilers* Were the Producers sitting around and thought, well… this is the last episode, we better wrap this up, wham-bam, peace, poof back to Earth and everything (except Earth itself) is ok? The final season has been very disappointing. Did you really think they’d blow Sol out an airlock? The whole ending was very unsatisfying. The show was about the great characters and the relationships between them but we don’t really answer any long term questions. It just ends. What about the dying president? What about the future of Earth? Of the Humans? Of the cylons and humans together? What happens to Starbuck? Giaus? So Earth is destroyed, what do they do about it? Sit and stare? So unfulfilling.
Happy Father’s Day to my Dad.
My tooth feels better, but now I have chest congestion and a sore throat. I guess each part of my body is taking a turn in revolting.
Friday night we had two Vizslas delivered to us for babysitting. So once again Hotel Allaen is full of dogs. This time we are watching Indy and Ellie, Marnie and Brian’s dogs. Indy is no problem, but Ellie, the younger dog, has quite a voice at all hours of the day. *Grr* My sister and Brother-In-Law also dropped in with two dogs… so there were five roaming around our little place raising Cain.
Saturday woke up a little late then we were out shopping most of the day. We were going to drive down to Niagara for a House Warming at Captains, but by the time we were ready to go, it was late and we were out of steam. I’m hoping to connect with my buddies shortly for a game night.
Sunday morning we drove up to Albion Hills to watch my sister compete in a mountain bike race. Regrettably she has ‘mechanical’ problems and Did Not Finish. Her chain got stuck a bunch of times and putting it back on made it worse. Hopefully she will fare better in Niagara next weekend. In the evening we had my parents and my sister over for mother’s day and my sister’s birthday. We ordered Thai from a small local restaurant. Gawd, they were swamped. Three people CAN NOT run a busy restaurant. I think I waited 40 minutes for the food to be ready after arriving late to pick it up. The wait was, however, worth it. The food was great and it all disappeared. My mother made her standard Skor cake (mmmmm) and there were also berries on angel food cake. So everyone went home full.
After finally sitting down around 11:30 I watched Episode 6 of season 4 of Battlestar… and the ho-hum continues. I guess they are building to next episodes climax but… still, I’m finding the episodes a little slow and lackluster with waaay too much talking and not enough exploding cylons. Ho-hum.
We didn’t look at any houses this weekend as our Agent was away and nothing interesting came up anyway. So we are still looking.
Battlestar’s fourth season the last… SIGH.
Yes it is 3:50 AM… WTF am I up? Just got home from work at 3:14AM…some days project based employment sucks…
So, that wonderful Sci-Fi series I watched last year, the one I thought was amazing, Battlestar Galatica… well it continued today. I’ve been looking forward to it since I watched the nasty cliffhanger ending from last season. And of course I assumed *sigh* that now that I’m empowered with digital cable that *surely* I’d be able to find it no problemo! HA! Um. No. Apparently, Sci-Fi channel isn’t available in CANADA… How does shit like this happen? Unbelievable. Thank gawd for the Internet…
Doing a fall clean up of the unsung root directory which has bloated to over 300 files. Ahem. So A few links may not work until I tie them back in.
I’ve reached the end of season two of the new Battlestar Galactica. What a great series! What a scream I let out when ‘.. to be continued’ flashed its ugly head on the screen. Next episode isn’t until January! Gah!
Anyone want some cheesies? We bought two boxes of 80 and had about 40 kids, so you do the math.
There aren’t very many quality programs on TV. Sure there is the mindless drivel you’ll *watch*, but you’d never say it was *good*. So I was happy today when my co-worker said ‘You’ve got to check out this amazing Sci-Fi series…you’ve heard of Battlestar Galactica right –I nod-, Well they have remade the series and it is great –No way!-.’ So we watched the first episode today and wow… Very impressive! The acting, writing, visuals, plot… all there in spades. If you like Sci-Fi it really is a *must-see*. (Where have I heard that before?) I’m hooked after the first episode.
I was happy to hear the Big Company that we pitched out game from (the one I was working on all weekend long) was well received. The client said it was ‘amazing’. Huh. Who knew… we all thought it was… well, ok…
